My best costumes:
A laundry basket (we stuffed a real one full of clothes and detergent boxes and I wore a pair of underwear on my head)

A toaster (made out of a huge box we spray-painted silver and two huge cardboard pieces of raisin toast--yes, we used real raisins :)--with a face hole cut in one piece)

The Ugly Princess (a store-bought princess gown I wore with Groucho Marx glasses and a plastic cigar)

Barbara Hi-Bush-Cus (a 15 gallon or so plastic pot with a hole cut in the bottom so I could wear it, with really big sprigs of rosemary sticking out all around me and a big label that said Barbara HiBushCus--this was in like 1991 when Barbara Bush was First Lady)

I've also been a flapper, several ballerinas, a poodle-skirt girl, a 50's diner waitress, I Dream of Jeannie, and a hula dancer.

Unfortunately, we're not planning to go anywhere that I can dress up for this Halloween. *pout*
