Events at school

Today at lunchtime, something rather serious happened. Not very many people know what's going on, and only those directly involved know exactly what happened, but this is what I've managed to piece together.

I was just walking back into school (in case this shows up on the news anywhere from London Tonight upwards, the school is Highgate Wood School) with a mate, Dean Giles, when we noticed an ambulance car heading into the school. We sped up a bit, and as we rounded a corner, there was also a large ambulance in one of the playground/car park bits. So we speed up, virtually the entire school is gathered in one of the main playground areas. The focus is several old bill and a VAN - not a police car, but a big VAN that you'd probably see rounding up d & d cases at chucking-out on Saturday night. So we wanders around for a bit, none of the teachers have a clue (or aren't telling) leaving the grapevine to spread it around. Eventually, we bumped into some friends of Dean's little sister's, Emma. They told us that Emma had stabbed an older kid in the hand (and also the side, depending on who you were listening to) a few times with scissors. Emma is loud, abrasive, and somewhat unpleasant, and she was apparently arguing with this older boy. The argument went something like this...

BEN (the older boy): You couldn't beat me up.

EMMA: Course I could.

B: Ha! You'd need a weapon, I bet.

E: Yeah, and?

B: Go on then!

E: Pah.

B: I said, GO ON THEN!

(Emma whisks out the scissors and stabs him at least twice in the hand and possibly in the side)

We continued to wander round until the head appeared (noting the massive crowd around what appeared to be a pool of blood) and took Dean away for a chat. I haven't seen him since.

I can tell you no more because I know no more.
