As you discovered in this thread, "Tehanu," so-called the Last Book of Earthsea, was published in 1990, eighteen years after "The Farthest Shore."

It appears Ursula K. LeGuin has come back to Earthsea yet again. This year, two new Earthsea books have been published. "Tales from Earthsea" came out in April. It contains five separate stories, one of which is said to serve as a bridge between "Tehanu" and the next full novel, "The Other Wind," which just came out in September.

I just finished reading "The Farthest Shore" this morning and consider it the best of the original three. It's quite an intelligent, thought-provoking book.

However, there was one moment that has not aged well with time. It's a line from early on, page 21 of my copy, where reference is made to the "Forest of Aol." I read that quite naturally as "Forest of AOL" until I caught myself, laughed, and read it over again.
