If you're that close, you've probably already been trying to circle around the campus, and not zigzag back and forth too much. Essentially you're travelling in a complete circle, *except* the segment between the ending spot and the starting spot (since after you hit the ending spot, the job's over). Try to pick the starting spot so that the segment you can cut out is as large as possible. When the professor starts you off, he gives you a good suggestion about where to start (the spot just to the east of his office).
