I know what you mean about how the community here is too big to be the same as it used to be.

I keep coming back because this is where my closest friends are. The ratio of "close friends" to "huge crowds of other people" has changed, which makes it more difficult, but it'll always be worth it because of those close friends. The site as such stopped mattering to me a long time ago. I love the content, but that's an extra. Sam could change the whole site to porn with misspelled captions for all I care and I'd still be here, as long as those people were here.

This isn't aimed at changing your mind or making you feel bad if you decide to leave. It's just to let my friends here at Rinkworks know how much they mean to me.

Although I suppose I would have enjoyed the RinkUnion, it seemed like it would have been ... well, something ... compared to the first one. I don't know how to describe the way I feel about that. There are people I want to meet, very much, but meeting a group of 25 or more in a two-day stint is not the way I want to do it.

If you decide not to stay around Rinkworks, or not as often, I hope you realise that will mean nothing at all to me in terms of stopping thinking of you as a friend. I don't know if you think of me as a friend or not, but I think of you as one. You could contact me any time, ever, and I'd look forward to talking to you or meeting you.
