I'm not sure what a MRI machine is, do you know how it's called in french?

As for children's hospital, there's one in Ottawa (CHIO, I have peoples in my classes who do internships there), one in Montreal (Ste-Justine) and I think one in Québec city. I'm not sure.

The big problem around here is mainly the lack of doctors, who tend to run to the USA at the drop of an hat, or switch to private practice. Also, funding problems are common, but not all that bad.

There's also a cultural problem. Healthcare in Québec is free - So sometime, misguided peoples will go to an ER for a sunburn, or an itch, when they would be better served in a private clinic. (Wich is also free)

Personnaly, I think the governement should enact a moderating fee (IE, 10 bucks every times you go to the ER), and offer some 'luxury services' to peoples who are willing to pay for it. (IE, better rooms, view, bed, food, etc, so that it helps fund the hospital)

But I'm far from getting elected anytime soon.

Etienne
