I think it is sad that she passed away so young and with a bright future ahead of her. I don't care much for her music that much, but still I think it was a tragedy.
In the past few years I've lost two best friends to suicide. That was a tragedy too. When you lose someone important to you, it hurts really bad for a long time. Then one day it doesn't hurt as much. Aaliyah's fans are feeling that pain too. To them its like losing a friend. I don't consider it any more tragic than anything else. My only hope is that she and the eight others knew Jesus as their savior and that I'll get to meet them when I get there.
