If we didn't have toes, what would we wiggle in the sand at the beach? How could we wear flip-flops? It would be no fun to sneak around on tip-feet. Ballet dancers would just walk around flat footed and graceless. What would babies play with? How could a fat guy scratch his ankle? Walking in soft oozzie mud would be no fun at all with nothing to squeeze mud up between. I'm glad you mentioned the counting thing, but I still think you need to do more research.
