For me, it would depend on your definition of a
"day." If I got in a car and drove non-stop for 24
hours, I think I would be able to make it to
some point on the east coast, if that was your
definition of a day.

I usually think of "a day" as the roughly 12-14
hour period in which I am awake and active. If
that's your definition then I'm landlocked too.
Unless you count the Great Lakes. I can get
to Lake Erie in about four hours. It's not the
ocean, but it's big enough that you can't see
across to the other side.
