A Yahoo search for "40,000" turns up 2 categories and 38 sites. Add these together and you get 40, which is 40,000 divided by 1,000. Also, 40,000 is a perfect square of two numbers which have 100 as factor. This can't be said of many numbers, with 10,000 and 90,000 being the closest.

Also, one of the searches turned up "Dana Cup - soccer tournament for youth players, with approx. 20,000 participants coming from more than 40 countries." This doesn't have 40,000 in it anywhere, but it showed up anyways. However, if you go to the 20,000th post on the forum you'll see that it says 20,000 twice. Add those two together and what do you get? That's right. Also, the 40th post has the number .923 in it. When multiplied by 43,336.9, you get 40,000. Then on the 923rd post, there's the word "six." If you break the word up, and assign numbers to each letter based on their position in the alphabet, then add them up, you get 19+9+24, which is 52. Oddly enough, 52 is a number. Just like 40,000. Post 18327 is about bacon.

Amazingly enough, when I did a search on ask.com for "What is the combined weight of 40,000 small dogs?" it brings up a drop down box in one of the responses. It reads thusly "Where can I find information about dog health and -BOX- ?" Well, here's where it gets creepy. If you look through the box, "ringworms" is one of the options. What is the work ringworms close to being? Rinkworks. That's right.

Wes - "Even creepier is the fact that if you add 3 to the number of this post, you'll get 40,000. How weird is THAT?"
