What about 'Mahalo'?

Those hotels are fun, aren't they? The swimming pools, which usually come with waterslides and hammocks and all the other goodies that our hotel DOESN'T have, always make me jealous. Especially if they have all that and parrots too.

I stayed in Lahaina for a week about 4 years ago, and I still remember a commercial jingle for a mall there. I'm scared now. Oh, and the reason all the names are so similar - you probably figured this out - is that the Hawaiian English alphabet uses fewer letters, so the names tend to sound pretty similar. Lots of K's and L's, particularly.

Did you snorkel off the place with the BIG black lava rock cliff thing? I can't remember what it's called (probably Black Rock or something stupidly obvious), but I went snorkeling there, and it was nifty.

Did you take the time to smell the heavenly scent of plumeria? (Tip: Aside from being found on trees, plumeria are also found quite often in leis. They're the white 5-petal flowers with pale yellow or pink edges.) Did you visit Kimo's in Lahaina... or Leilani's off of the Big Black Rock Snorkeling Spot... and eat a piece of Hula Pie? Because if you didn't, you should turn right back around and go get some, because it RULES.
