Word to that. I can never keep straight all the names of characters after around page 150 or so.

So far as I can tell, Angband the game has no chronological setting within Tolkien's world. For that matter, it isn't serious about portraying Angband as the fortress appears in the Silmarillion, either. It's pretty much a D&D-style hack n'slash game that just happens to borrow characters and items from Tolkien's works.
