What's your favorite fantasy creature?

I'm a bit of a dragon worshipper as well, but I think they'd be a bit large and unwieldy. What I'd really like is one of those Fire Lizards out of the Pern novels. They're still dragons, they breathe fire, you can still bond with them, but they're also small enough to cuddle and carry around on your shoulder.
