I believe the common wisdom is that if you have a very *light* case of chicken pox as a child, then you are more prone to shingles as an adult...perhaps because your body didn't have to mount quite the same full blown antibody attack as it would have against a bad case (?)--and therefore you are less resistant against another bout with the same virus. (Shingles & chicken pox are caused by the same virus) But, I can't cite any medical journal articles on it either.
