See it, and you'll be as disgusted as I am. Unless you understand it... if so, please explain here so I can maybe get a grip on that heinous ending.

I've not seen the film yet (I will, as soon at it hits the cinemas here), but I have seen interviews with Tim Burton on the subject. He said from the beginning that this was "not a remake, but a re-imagining", which from anyone else I would consider pretensious tosh, but from Burton - well, Burton (IMHO) is the Alan Moore of cinematography.

He made it clear the the ending would be different, because it's not the same film. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends, especially as I wasn't too keen on the original ending.
