I stumbled upon this wonderful link while randomly perusing the rinkworks message forum. I am so grateful. Not will the Babelfish provide me with hours of entertainment, it assures me that my human brain is needed(I speak French and English fluently, and have studied all the languages on the Babelfish site) and will never be replaced by a computer.
I have found French to be a great babelfish language. I typed in a poem by Apollinaire and got back something that I still don't understand. One thing I love about it is while Babelfish does not recognize simple words like earlobe, it invents charming new words like "lathed" and "Kassie."
