Me again. I just thought of something. A related story, I guess.
My brother-in-law took a part-time job as a janitor when he was in college. The company made medical instruments and one day they got way behind on filling an order. So he drops his broom and starts assembling medical instruments. It turned out that he was quite good at it and seemed to understand the whole system pretty well. He worked for them for 28 years and wound up in upper management.
