I hear ya, man. That basically describes what happened to a similar system I had browsed once. When an unimaginative or immature writer got his or her claws in it, they often just killed off the characters or completely changed the world.

Still, as far as I know, the CYOA site is completely untenanted now, and I am confident that the denizens of Rinkworks can create a clever, witty and respectful story-generation community there.
