Ah, yes, foosball! I've played that many a time in the youth hall at church... well, that was about 4 years ago though. :) And I'm not that good at it, but hey, it's fun.

I once had quite an adventure with foosball. This was on my high school's senior retreat - where the whole senior class (124 people, for me) went to a camp in the mountains for a day and did fun stuff. In the afternoon my friends and I went into the camp's foosball/ping pong room. There was a foosball table empty, but it had no ball. So we used a ping pong ball.

There is a good reason why foosball has it's OWN little ball, and not a ping pong ball. Ping pong balls are much lighter and springier. Therefore, several times the ball did what appeared to be a straight vertical leap up out of the table to thwak into the light above, and richocheting from there. I got hit in the face twice by it, and several times the thing went flying across the room. It certainly added a new dimension to the game... :)

Sosi"oh, and at the museum today I had fun on a giant air-hockey floor thing, to mention another tabletop 'sport'"qui
