When I was younger, I had the nickname Annie because (when I was younger still) I couldn't pronounce Andrea (my real name, obviously) correctly. I liked that nickname when I was in elementary school, and I went by that name instead of Andrea. However, you can probably guess at one of the side effects of that... lots of singing. And joking about me not having red hair. (I would look horrid with red hair!) Etc.

Thus, when my family moved to where I live now, I decided to just go by Andrea (except at home, but my family doesn't burst into 'Tomorrow', so that's fine). Now the only problem I have is that people can't pronounce it properly. It's prounounced 'An-dreeah', but I tend to get 'An-drayAH' or even 'Ahn-drea'. I couldn't figure out why... but Monkeyman made a good suggestion that it was because of the San Andreas Fault ('An-dray-ahs'). Which makes sense... but it's still kind of annoying. :p

Sosi"it's NOT my fault, and Monkeyman pronounces my name correctly"qui
