As some of you may know, I teach dancing, drama and singing classes. Each week I see about 150 children and another 50 adults, some with names that turn up frequently. It is amazing how some ratbag child can completely turn you off a name. And the trouble is, I've known so many children over the years, that I don't think I'll know what to call any children of my own.

I can understand why people make names up.
