Amongst people I know / work with / whatever are the following Daves (given nicknames so that people are aware of who you're talking about):

Woody
American Dave
Swedish Dave
Welsh Dave
Other Dave
Bellows
Dave the Rave
Strange Dave
Tim
Dave the Snake
Pockets
Random

Yes, these are all people I know, and most of them know each other. It's not unusual for me to be out at a pub with 5 or 6 Daves. OK, it's not the world's rarest name, but it's not that common, surely...
