I hope I get to see the results of the poll when all of the returns are in. Especially the part about gender lines.
Put me down for "It ain't no big deal." I really do just what feels right at the moment. She knows when I'm sincere and when I'm not anyway, and it doesn't really seem to make much difference. I'm not sure why the way someone looks would be important. I've seen her all dolled up and looking like a wreck, and everything in between. It doesn't make any difference. I guess we are beyond that. My advice to young people is to never judge anybody by the way they look. People constantly change their looks, or nature does it for them, but they are still the same person. If a little fib like, "These are really great mashed potatoes," makes any difference, your relationship is in big trouble anyway. If I see her coming in from the garden all muddy and sweaty and red in the face, I should be able to say she looks great without fear of wrecking the marriage.
