Interesting that you should mention this. My quick cursive looks almost exactly like my father's handwriting. Unlike you, however, I remember conciously trying to emulate my dad's handwriting after I had seen some of his old notes, because I thought it looked neat. I just sort of adopted his style of handwriting as my own. I can also mimick my mother's cursive handwriting, but I never have a reason to. It takes longer to write the way she writes.
