Heh. Around here, instead of having a ton streets with similar names, you'll run into areas with streets having similarly themed names. This is no help on a map, of course, since they don't all start with the same first letter, but it's interesting. Near my house there are groups of streets with British themed names, American National Park-themed names, and Hawaiian-themed names, to mention a few. One of my favorite theme-name bunch is the candy one... containing such fun names as Candy Cane Lane and Bon Bon Avenue.

Although in the newer areas, you'll get some name similarity... for example, I live on a court, and the road that feeds into it has the same name. My house as the same address as one of the road houses, so our mail often goes to the wrong house. And, in our area, there's a court/road pair with the exact same name as ours, only flipped. I.E. the names are like, say, Wood River Road/Ct. and the other one is River Wood Road/Ct. That's confused people a time or two.

Sosi"one of my pasttimes, when bored, is to look at a map for amusing street/city names"qui
