Ticia and Sosiqui: Don't forget that the prices Wolfspirit and wintermute and I were discussing were per LITRE. There are almost four litres in a gallon. Sounds like the US is getting a steal on gas prices compared to our current nightmare... Or maybe not. (Quick mental calculation.) OK, maybe three cents a litre less than what we pay here in Calgary right now, when converted to Canadian dollars and litres. But that calculation was based on your high $2.09 price. Is that typical in other parts of the US right now? The Utah sample seems QUITE good in my mind--about $0.55 a litre in Canadian funds by my quick estimate. We haven't seen prices like that here in about five years now... The high price in Britain, though, is what I have come to expect. I hear, too, that even when Canadian fuel prices are lower, Britain usually still has prices about double ours.
