Around here there's a group of artists that are doing the same thing with the Coyote Valley (little valley off the main Silicon Valley), a previously orchard-covered area that is going to be opened for development soon. These artists are going in with their tools of choice (camera, paint, whatever) and capturing the valley before it's changed to look like every OTHER part of this area. :p > > The orchards are part of history. Before this was the Silicon Valley, in the early part of the 20th century, it was FILLED with fruit orchards. Then, it was called the Valley of Heart's Delight. Now, almost all the old orchards are gone to make way for housing developments. It's very sad. > > I did my last project for photography on an orchard near my house - and I was astounded when, this week, I drove past it and saw the bulldozers at work. :p > > Sosi"as Calvin said once, 'How would they like it if the animals bulldozed the houses and put in trees?'"qui
My sister used to live in a subdivision in Upland, California. They never bought lemons. They just went to one of the vacant lots where a few trees remained, and picked them. Does California have a law that requires all subdivisions to be in former citrus groves? Howard
