Don't get discouraged by that, because everything takes practice. I mean, how do you think good musicians got to be so wonderful? They just picked up the instrument and, poof, it sounded great? (yeah, I wish...) (hey, I corrected the band teacher on a fingering the other day...it was great!)

You really "hit the nail on the head." I have recently recieved notice that my L.A. teacher (Mrs. M) actually liked my short historical fiction assignment! Yes! Once I got the plot figured out in my head, I just began writing. I was thinking about Piers Anthony's style of writing (at least in the Xanth novels) and how he leaves a lot of details out. I lets your imagination fill in the blanks. I tried to write a little something like that, and I think it worked out well. It also made me realize that he never gets to read his books the same as all his readers do, because he *wrote* it. Sort of depressing, because I really like his books, but hopefully he gets the same joy out of writing it. :)

Oer"thanks"as
