My De-Liar collection is now up to five. I recently bought one on eBay for $5 plus a buck and a half shipping. It was an early 1950's model 208 De-Liar made by Langley before they sold out to Zebco. It was nearly perfect and came with the original box. But, wait! What's that in the bottom of the box? It's a piece of crumpled paper. Why, blow me down, it's a 1952 fishing license, worth far more than I paid for the De-Liar! It was issued in New York although the De-Liar came from South Carolina. There must be a story there, but I guess I'll never know.
Anyway, I win again.
