A yard sale is always part of our spring cleaning rite and we always make a few bucks on stuff that would have been thrown away. Today's total was just short of a hundred dollars, and we hope for a similar take tomorrow. We always see a few old friends and we usually hear, "You used to be my teacher." We keep saying "I can't believe people would pay money for that stuff." Tomorrow's prices will be lower and the tags will come off some stuff so we can toss it on the 25 cent table or in the free pile.
> I guess we call it a yard sale because "yard" fits on those little green postboard signs, better than "garage" or "carport." The secret to a good sign is to make those little arrows bigger so people can tell which way to turn.

Pardon me for replying to my own post. Our two-day yard sale total was something like 264 bucks! Junk, so help me, junk! Most of it should have been thrown away. Since a large portion of the junk came out of my shop and the garage, I may have room for another motor scooter, but $264 won't buy a very good one.
