I experienced really great customer service once. I was on a trip about six years ago and this being before I was "enmobiled" ("Celled" for our US friends), I had to use a pay phone. I also had to make long calls so I swiped my credit card to pay for them. Two weeks later I had a call from the credit card company. Was I aware my card had been used to make calls from a payphone 300 miles away from my home? It was so out of character for me to do this, having only ever really bought petrol with my card, the company wanted to make sure it hadn't been stolen. I was very surprised to get the call, but also very gratified that they had bothered to check up.
