Well, today I encountered what might be the Easter egg of advertising (yeah, bad holiday joke-like thing)... a HUGE ad for the next animated Disney flick that folded out into a full-size movie poster. That's one big ad.

I was even more interested to see what the movie was about, though - Atlantis. I myself am fascinated with that place, and I can't help but wonder how Disney will tell the story of Plato's lost city. I've seen many, many different portrayals of Atlantis in adventure games - ranging from the historically believable Minoan-esque Atlantis of my favorite game, Legacy of Time; to the art-deco flavored alien... thing... Atlantis of Timelapse. (Not to mention the Nazi-infested Atlantis of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.) I'm definetely curious to see what Disney does with it - which will make this the first animated Disney film since Hunchback of Notre Dame that I've seen in theaters.

Another thing I noted with interest was the rating - PG, making this only the second animated Disney flick to be rated higher than G. (The first, for the record, was the oft-forgotten The Black Cauldron, which I love. "Munchings and crunchings!") I wonder why...
