Have you smelled sugar? It actually smells pretty... well, bad isn't the right word, maybe non-edible is better. It smells like stone or something.

Marzipan is a traditional Easter confectionary around here, I don't know how it is on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, though. But the other day, I had a small marzipan hen, and smelled it. Although marzipan *tastes* really sweet, the only thing I could smell was the nuts. Pretty strange.

But a really *sweet* smell is the smell of fruits in a fruit and vegetable market, especially in the late summer when there are strawberries, melons and all kinds of sweet fruits.
