flying is not usually dangerous

Well, my daughter the flight attendant, found out that, while usually safe, flying can be dangerous. Three hours out over the Atlantic, the 777 she was in hit turbulance that tossed her against the ceiling. The results were a sprained wrist, a twisted ankle, bumps and bruises, plus a five hour wait for medical attention in Frankfort. On the other hand, they put her in a seat in first class and waited on her hand and foot. Then after being checked by a German doctor, she was sent to the hotel and then dead-headed back to the states the next day. Her big complaint was that she didn't get to go shopping in Frankfort.
She was injured worse at age twelve when she fell off her bicycle.
If you dislike turbulance, don't sit in the back of the plane. The pitching back there is worse. She was standing in the aisle and was the only one back there not belted. Nobody else was injured.
Does flying worry me? Nope. I'll likely fly to Washington, DC within a few days. Howard
