I know there is a general attitude that Elmo is a pretender to Grover's throne, as the King of Favorite Sesame Characters. But there was one clip that I saw with Elmo that was freakin' hilarious.

Ok, Elmo went on a PBS cooking show. I think it was Galloping Gourmet. So Elmo and a bunch of preschoolers were helping the host cook. (this wasn't on Sesame Street. It was like a guest appearance on the cooking show.) Anyway, one of the kids was next to Elmo as the puppet was flapping his jaws about something. So the kid stuck his hand in Elmo's mouth, and Elmo's mouth was felt in both senses of the word. Soon all the kids were sticking their hands in Elmo's mouth. Elmo kept saying, "No! No! Don't put your hands in Elmo's mouth!" But the kids kept at it. It was sooooooo funny!
