> So I raise the question: if you watched Sesame Street at some point in your life, who was your favorite character? Is there a favorite part you liked, a certain segment you liked very much? Maybe a Sesame Street book that you loved? :)

Grover was very definitely my favorite character. He was just greatness incarnate. I don't understand how Elmo is more popular now.

Sketch-wise... hm, well super-Grover was always great. My brother and I still know the alphabet song (Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz!!!!!) Um... if you saw it, you'll know what I mean.

I read the Monster at the End of the Book, and the opposites book! Wow, talk about great literature...

> As for segments, I'll never forget the ones with the little alien guys. ("Ra-di-o. Ra-di-o! Uh huh, uh huh, yep yep yep yep, uh huh, yep yep yep yep!")

wow, okay, yeah, that one is a classic, too...

> So... what about you guys? Come on, let the inner child on out! :)

I've seen a lot of those kid shows a lot more frequently recently. We're in the process of adopting a 2 year old (he'll be three on April 6!) so a lot of the kid shows make frequent appearances at our house. My analysis: Sesame Street is still wonderful. Mister Rogers is actually pretty psychotic and scary. Dragon Tales is absolute and utter crap. Clifford is okay.

The best in new TV programming? Arthur. That is one great show. I mean, the characters are CUTE, although sometimes it's hard to tell what kinds of animals they are... but the lessons are really good, too. It's one of those shows that adults and kids can enjoy.

Of course, a 2-year-old has allowed us to buy LOTS of VeggieTales, too... I think we have all of them except 3 or 4, which my sister and I are petitioning for. And now we get to get started on 3-2-1 Penguins, too!

Speaking of which, I watched 3-2-1 Contact, and Square One... I guess I was a geek, too.
