Here's a little something that I've picked up over the years. Now I work about 60 hours a week, but I love my job (most of it). A friend of mine told me to make a set of goals for what I want to do/be in 10 years time. Look around at the people who are 10 years older than you and decide whether you want to be like that. Think about your long term goal in relation to this.
Now, break the 10 year goal into parts, what you'd like to achieve in 5 years, 4, 3, 2, 1.
Once you've found your goal for the next 12 months, break it down again. Find the direction you need to be moving in to attain the short term goal, and you're on the right track for the long term.
And if a big goal is having more time AND money, figure out how to do it. There are ways. Keep control of your life, don't let it all rush past because you're too busy, because one day you'll wake up and realise that you've let the best years of your life slip away.
