Right you are, but not because some people forget what a clock is. :) My school district is getting noticeably worse each year. It's a very small school, and the school board is a "good old boys" club. They refuse to fix the problems with the school (namely discipline), because the parents would object. So the good teachers leave, and they're replaced with morons. This has happened every year since I was a freshman; this means that the concentration of idiots has risen each year as well. :)

For instance, consider this man; he has an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering, a B.S. in Mathematics, a B.S. in Physics Education, and is a Navy Veteran. He's teaching right now for about 23k; starting teacher salary in Iowa. He has no people skills, his wife is a mail-order bride, the students play cards in his class, and he recently got suspended for bringing a Russian newspaper with a picture of a naked woman in it. (Suspended? Let's fire the man.)

He's not the only crazy, but I won't tell you about all of them. Suffice it to say that my school district is going straight down the drain, and I'm sure it's not the only one. I'm just glad I'm almost finished with it for good.
