We are a strange trio, then, because skunk smell (as long as it's not distressingly close) has more pleasant than unpleasant associations for me too.
I think of warm summer nights and open fields when I smell that smell. And has anyone else noticed that east coast skunks have a slightly different aroma than west coast skunks? East coast skunks seem to me to have a deeper, almost coffee-like smell.
