Please view the following as friendly admonishment or recommendation, not as mastication followed by oral expulsion:

HOW CAN YOU, IN GOOD CONSCIENCE, CLAIM ANY INTEREST IN FANTASY WITH NO RECOGNITION OR INDICATION OF HAVING EVER EXAMINED THE WORKS OF J.R.R. TOLKIEN???????????????????????

Please accept my sincere apologies if that sounds harsh. I had read C.S. Lewis since junior high, and yet didn't experience Tolkien (though he'd been on my To Do list for few years) until my car broke down, stranding me at a wilderness Wal-Mart for 12+ hours one Saturday a few years back. I was entranced before i left the first page.

And i strongly recommend reading the series BEFORE the movies start coming out at Christmas, because i fear that, should they be well-done and a success, they may lessen reading of Tolkien "'cuz the movie's just as good." As excited as i am about the movies, i don't think we could expect it to surpass Tolkien's phraseology.

> My favorite animals are platypuses ...

Platypi007, i am sure, would wish you to note that platypi is plural of platipus, whereas platipuses is a concocted word.

Hoping you love the place and settle down,

Penny "Boy, that came across as being pretty harsh" stamp.
