If I understand the question correctly....
I just mean when rituals are strictly applied to a person's life, he runs the risk of using his actions to substitute for the personal relationship with God that Sam and I mentioned earlier. As long as you do not rely on your works for salvation, I think it's perfectly okay and even required that we demonstrate that relationship through what we do.
