Well, maybe not. I think there is insufficient information to make a call. Certainly if you are being a hypocrite by professing to follow Christ but secretly not, that's a bad thing. This is not in itself a bad witness to others unless others see this hypocrisy. On the other hand, how do we know this non-believer does not *want* to believe? Or at least what to find out what Christianity is all about? Or, in the case of a backslidden Christian that is no longer sure, to rebuild his or her faith?

I think blanket statements like this are dangerous to make.
