Interviewing Adventures:
Today I had my SECOND interview since getting laid off. This time turned out to be a much more traditional interview, and I am a little more excited about the possibility of getting this job.
This is a new position with a growing eBusiness and IT consulting company. I would be on staff, rather than a consultant, servicing mainly the Marketing department in a graphic design capacity, but also available to other departments as well. This would mean a wide variety of work, which I thrive on. It's a small office, only about 15-20 people, which is also an aspect I like.
The interview started on time, and started out with the interviewer asking me questions about my background, qualifications, experience, etc. He described the position. Then we looked at my portfolio, and then I got to ask questions.
This company really encourages employee growth, training and development. They have a novel approach to it, called Training Investment Funds, which employees can pretty much use in any way they choose.
I think they're definitely interested in me, and they said I should expect to be back for second interview soon!
Other Related Adventures:
Since my interview was near where famous lives, we went to her house and visited! I actually dropped Mrs. Grishny and Jonathan off there before my interview and then came back afterwards. We got the grand tour of the famous place, and got to see lots of nifty things, like her WICKED COOL digital camera and her WICKED COOL electronic piano!
We went out for dinner to Burger King and had a good time talking about stuff. Then we went back to famous' place and played RACK-O! Woo hoo! Yours truly won ALL THREE GAMES! And I haven't played in years. But I'm not gloating. Oh no. Not me. Certainly not.
Soon it was getting late and time to go. Famous took a picture of me and Jonathan, and I took one of her and Jonathan, and both of these will be added to his web site soon. I'll post a link when it's up. Yep.
Gri"thank me for cutting this ramble short"shny
