Oh yeah, I forgot about that. And yes, he did. His show was going to be canceled or something and they needed more money, so he asked kids to steal from their parents. And I think doomed his show that way.

I'm reminded of a joke from Mystery Science Theater, where a kid is being hypnotized: "Yes, I will steal money from my father's wallet and send it to Soupy Sales".
