I agree. I'm not an experienced motorbike driver and I think engines over 125cc are too much for me; I tried the Guzzi 750 and the Ducati Paso (900cc), finding them really both exciting and frightening. The Ducati can go as fast as 280Km/h, I touched 150 in second gear...
In my previous list of manufacturers, I forgot Cagiva, which 125cc model of the 1986 was the first motorbike I tried. > My Benelli has a 50 cc engine and does quite well with 185 pounds of flab on board.
It's typical of Italian engines, to be compact and offer some more HPs than usual; this both applies to motorbikes and to cars (like Alfa Romeo's ones) as well. Here, HPs are *the* marketing issues for vehicles...
