Funny hats are *vital* to organised major religion. Mitres are hilarious. Jews wear skullcaps, and Orthodox Jews wear those black hats. (If I'm thinking of the right people.) Sikhs wear turbans. I think some other religions do, too. Remember those goofy headbands with springs sticking out the top and big plastic butterflies boinging around on the ends, which were fashionable in the late '80s for a while? Those are the obligatory headgear of devout Baptists. Well, OK, they're not, but I think they should be.
