Yesterday I forgot that the number 1 bus becomes a number 3 bus at the downtown stop, and the number 3 becomes a number 1. I get on the number 3, planning to transfer to the 1 at one of the mall stops to get home. But no, the number 3 becomes a number 1, and I get off it and get onto another number 1... headed back downtown. It's okay, I figure, I'll just wait for it to loop around. No, it becomes a number 3, and it's not until I'm past the point of no return does it occur to me to think, "Where does the 3 go after it's been downtown, anyway?" So I got a nice little detour that I didn't really want. It loops back to the mall where I got on it in the first place, I get on the correct bus at last, and get home. I wasn't sure whether to bash my head against the bus or laugh. I was also rather worried that I would fall asleep on the bus, cause I had exhausted myself by walking all over the downtown area...
