Well, what I tend to do is what I just did: I put every line with a > thing and a space, and when it gets to the end of the line down here in the text editing box I hit enter so I don't end up with a > in the middle of a line. This also makes the quoted text show up in a box-like format so it's easier to tell what's mine and what isn't. I also try to do this when I post on the USenet.
