I just remembered something else that has happened to me a couple of times: I call a friend, and hear him picking up the receiver and start dialling a number while he's talking to someone in the room with him. I go: "Hello? Helloooo?!" And he goes: "He- hello? Huh? Are you there already? I'm just dialling your number!" He picked up the receiver right *before* his phone started ringing. And he was going to call *me*!

The same has happened the other way around. I don't remember the incidendt specifically, but when I pick up the receiver, there are someone on the phone, so I 'answered' before it rang.
