Well, two incidents spring to mind... And they're all connected to a guy I used to share appartment with a few years back. His name is Håvard, which is the Norwegian form of Howard, so I'll call him that.

The first time, Howard and I were watching X-files, an episode where Mulder and Scully are out in "redneck country". It's an in-breed case, where I think two brothers are having babies with their mother or something. The heroes are sneaking into the family's house, and it's very dark.

Now, X-files is on TV2, and they interrupts programs now and then with some self-advertising (since *commercial* breaks aren't allowed in the middle of programs in this country). A femal voice whispers "See what's happening!", and then some advertisement for a coming program is shown.

As I said, it's very dark in the house where Mulder and Scully are sneaking around, gun in hand. Howard gets frustrated, and says: "I can't see what's happening!" Instantly, TV2 responds in a female, whispering voice: "See what's happening!" We looked at eachother with big eyes, grabbed hold of he couch we were sitting on and said "whoa, creepy!"

Another time, we were on our way back from the movie theatre, almost home, when I told him I had seen a Norwegian actor in our neighborhood quite a few times, in the grocery store and such. I couldn't remember his name, though, and Howard asked me how he looked. "Um..." I said, and then pointed at a man walking by about 50 feet ahead: "Like that!" It was the man we were talking about. We RORLed! (Rolled On the Road, Laughing :-)
